The office of the IHRC today issued a Press Statement about Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Government Elections in Sierra Leone
The office of the International Human Right Commission (IHRC) today issued a Press Statement on Behalf of the Secretary General HE Prof Rafal Macin Wasik through His Envoy to the ECOWAS region on the upcoming Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Government Elections scheduled for the 24th of June, 2023.
His Excellency Dr. Momodu Conteh appealed with the people of Sierra Leone to be peaceful and law abiding, at at the same time encouraged the Electoral Commision of Sierra Leone to Conduct a free and Fair Elections and that the IHRC was in readiness to give them support to fullfill this mandate as a monitoring Partner alongside the international Community..
IHRC looks forward to playing a prominent monitoring role in the forthcoming elections scheduled for the 24th June, 2023.
HE Dr. Momodu Conteh also congratulated the Nation of Sierra Leone on her election to the UN Security Council as a non Permanent member.
