The Committee of Legal Policy and Justice of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on behalf of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Groisman V. considered sending an appeal to Parlament (No 234-01 / 09-2015 on 09.15.2015) , which raises the question about the electoral rights of internally displaced persons and the positions of the "International Commission on Human Rights " regarding submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the draft Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Local Elections" (concerning the right to vote internally displaced persons) (No 2501 from 08.12.2015) and draft laws on amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine to ensure the electoral rights of internally displaced persons (No 2501-1 on 08.21.2015 2501-2 on 08.26.2015).
Grateful International Human Rights Commission "for the done work about the analysis of the provisions of these laws, also for activities aimed at protection of electoral rights.
Your position will be communicated to the deputies of Ukraine - members of the Committee of Legal Policy and Justice the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to take into account when considering laws No 2501a, 2501a-1 and 2501a-2 and subsequently in the work on the comprehensive improvement of election legislation.
